All employee and contracted personnel with direct student contact must submit thier fingerprints to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for state and national background screening in accordance with section 1002.421(1)(m), F.S.
In accordance with section 1002.421(1)(m), F.S., the academy denies employment to or terminates any employee or contracted personnel with direct student contact if he or she fails to meet the background screening standards under section 435.04, F.S.
In accordance with section 1002.421(1)(m), F.S., the academy disqualifies instructional personnel and school administrators from employment in any position that allows direct contact with students if the personnel or administrators are ineligible under section 435.04, F.S.
In accordance with state regulations, all staff members must complete a background screening conducted by a trusted provider. Prospective employees are required to successfully complete a background screening before the finalization of their employment.
